Justin Lofton is a young up-and –coming racecar driver competing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Justin has been successful in every series he has been involved in including the ARCA racing series, where he was the year-end points champion in 2009. From a young age Justin’s father embedded the importance of fitness into his head. To this day Justin is an avid fitness enthusiast and he contributes a lot of his success to being physically fit. “When the race is over I see many of my competitors literally falling out of their trucks, where I can just climb out and walk away,” Justin stated. He uses the off-season to build bulk, and then switches to more body weight and resistance band exercises during the racing season. While he finds his every part of his strength training important he focuses a little more on his shoulders and neck area. This has helped him with his recovery time when he collides with the wall. When we asked Justin about his cardio regiment, his answer was very straight- forward. “Everyday,” he replied, “ I spend 20 minutes everyday and sometimes, on off weekends, I will take my mountain bike for a 16-20 mile ride.” All of us at WorkOutRoutine.org wish Justin the best of luck in the 2011 Camping World Truck Series!
